I have this really wierd Celeron I bought for a customers
machine I am building. It has no SL code, in fact the lable is quite
different than any Celly I've seen before:

Celeron malay

RB80529RZ667128 T T020A232
Q020A317-0425 QV18 0345

Thats it... At first glance it looks normal... but upon closer inspection, it doest look "right" The pattern on the green PCB (top side) is an unusual "straight line" (all others I've seen
have wavy or criss-cross patterns) It has a square
"psuedo hologram" like the newer 933e's but on the opposite side of the lable!

And now for the weirdest part, and the one that actually made
me notice it was wierd in the first place. The pinout is different! On a normal Celeron-PIII-Tau there are two corners that are "missing a pin" which acts to key the proc to the socket.
Not this one! it has only one "keyed" corner Its not damaged or anything. It looks like its supposed to be that way.

ANY IDEAS?

Hi clutchcargo,
Probably isn't the right answer to your question but try using Cpu-z, that you found at http://www.cpuid.com/ or Sisoft Sandra to identify your 'strange' chip.

I hope it helps you :-)

Oh yeah... Welcome to the forums! You can also get the Intel CPUID, i like it because when you OC, it brings up all sorts of funny warnings:D

If I remember correctly, Q-spec processors are engineering samples. And it should be unlocked. Try changing the multiplier.
