I just built my new computer which has a Thunderbird 1.33ghz for the processor. I havent even overclocked it, and the cpu temp regesters at 64 degrees celcius under load!!!!!! Am I going to fry my new cpu? System temp is like 34 degrees celcius. I am using a golden gate cpu cooler with a 28cfm (im pretty sure) fan. I also used artic silver. What do you guys think I should do??? Thanks.

Hi Azzkiller,
well your temps seems to be really dangerous for your chip, @full load never must go over 55 degree C, you must replace your cooler with something more efficient like the Thermalright SK6 or others.
I hope it helps you :-)

Did you use too much Arctic Silver II? Too much can act as an Insulator. The instructions at arctic silvers website are a great place to start.
