Well, Allan Nielsen (or something like that anyways) asked me to start a new thread about my Celeron 850 experiences :)
So, here it is.

At the moment I'm buring it in at 1133MHz (133MHz FSB) @ 1.8VCore.
Running nice and stable using Prime95. Think I will do this for about a week.

In the beginning of next week (I hope) I will change the HSF to a Thermright SK-6. Don't know of I will add the Peltier yet.

So for now it's running this:

Celeron 850Mhz @ 1133MHz @ 1.8VCore
Corsair PC150 CAS 256MB Memory
52W Peltier and a GW-FKP32

Will update as soon as possible...

Update: got Allan Nielsen his name right :-)

Here is an WCPUID image of my 850 @ 1133 @ 1.8VCore running 100% stable :D have been running 3D Mark 2000 for some hours and also running Prime95 full time!

just for anyone wandering what stepping it is, it's a CC0 and has the S-spec code of SL59B :-) If you look in the CPU dbase the highest someone got was 1133 too, but at 2.00VCore!!!! I do this at 1.8VCore :D

I think its cC0.

Try here...http://support.intel.com/support/processors/sspec/icp.htm

One sweet overclock though....Maybe I should buy one:D

try overlooking my second post again? it says CC0 for being a SL5GB.

Here is a picture of MBM. It's says 1141MHz, but the BIOS says 1133 :-)

ADRIAN Nielsen? Now that was a new one I haven't heard before... normally its Allen, Alan, Nielson etc.

This combination must be new! :)

Allan Nielsen: sorry, sorry, sorry!!! I was meaning to change it, but didn't get to it yet.
Will change it now! :)

Update: I upped to 1147,5MHz :)
Update2: Temperature seems to be the same at 45C. Also VCore is still 1.8V
Update3: Clocked back to 1133MHz for stability. WILL run it till next friday using prime95!!! Will be away fot the weekend, so higher clocking will be done on monday evening.

Hehe, ok mate! :)

That is one nasty OC. 45C seems a little high for an Intel chip, but if it's stable rock on.

Here is an picture of WCPUID and MBM508 about my 850@1147,5

My old 566@876 was about 45C too. But the VCore was alot higher than this one. The 566@876 was 1.5V@1.85V, this one is 1.7V@1.8V.

I guess I was just a little supprised to see that. I am used to mine sitting at 24C idle and 37C max. Of course with stock volts.....

Voltage does alot on raising temps. 0.1V can rais your temps about 2C I believe.

I might be experiencing that soon. I can't seem to get my CPU any higher stable. I am going to try raising the voltage this week.

Do that! It's not so bad to raise the VCore, just beware of temps and such!

Well, I started over again with the CPU.
I attached the SK6 now (no Peltier) and running 943MHz (111*8.5) @ 1.7VCore (default).

It's really summer now right over here. Outdoor it's about 30C or a bit higher. My bedroom is between 25C and 30C somewhere. CPU idles at about 30C.

Will update later with Prime95 full load temp's.

Oh, and I ordered a Delta fan 7000rpm. Gonna use the silicon trick with the HS.

Well, the Delta 7000rpm isn't here yet but I am upping nicely at default VCore.
Right now I'm at 118Mhz * 8.5X = 1003MHz.
Summer is almost over now :D so the idle temp right now is about 28C. Will post Primte95 full load temp later.

Well..I replaced the YS-Tech 4500rpm with the Black Delta 7000rpm. Didn't plug in on the mothebord though.
And it's..well.kinda noisy :-)

Right now I'm running at 1133MHz again. This time at 1.75VCore.
Full load temps under Prime95 are already 2C lower than with the YS-Tech. It's now 33C :D

Gonna try the silicon trick tommorow. Hope it helps a bit regarding noise.

Well, did the silicon trick and it really works! wow! I also added a 120mm Papst fan (4412) which helped lowering temps even more.
And I applied the wire trick. It now boot's default at 1.85V.

The CPU speed right now? Quite high I think. Alot higher than the highest in the database on overclockers.com.
Right now I'm at 1198MHz. That's 141Mhz FSB at 1.85V.
The average idle temp is 24C right now (it's getting close to fall around here) and the full load temp is 30C - 31C. I think that is very nice! Isn't it?

Well, finally here is a picture of CPU-Z:

Absolutly a GREAT OC freshy98, really impressed!
I suppose that your ambient temps helps a lot ;)

freshy98
09-08-01, 09:22 AM
hehe indeed it helps. but getting rid of the 52W peltier/FKP32 combo works alot too :-) very happy right now.
even running at 1207 @ 1.9V right now. seems stabel with prime95. 1.85V was just not enough.

Are you thinking to go for 150Mhz of Fsb?!
probably it can go so high, but isn't a little dangerous?

freshy98
09-08-01, 09:48 AM
I don't know if it will make it that high. Maybe a 80W peltier would help then. I'll just see how high it gets using the setup I Have right now.
But the VCore is already quite on the high side, so 150FSB isn;t dably I think. We'll see what it can do. FSB is 141MHz right now. temp at full load is 33C at the moment.

Probably I'm quoting my other post, but it's really a kick ass OC!

I know :D

freshy98
10-11-01, 12:37 PM
Well..last entry :-)
It's now stable at 1214Mhz @ 1.95V
Idle temp is about 23C en load is 33C.

getting a 1000Mhz Celeron soon :D gonna check that one out :D
