Have tried to o/c Celeron 333 & Chaintech CT-6BTM, at 75 x 5, 83 x 5, boots up incredibly slowly... although mobo manual claims 103, 112, & 133 mhz sys clock speeds I don't have those options. CPU settings controlled by software - SeePU , which auto changes voltage Please ANY help would be much appreciated. Have tried Chaintech support in UK but no answer

Other hardware
64 meg 100 mhz sdram
matrox millenium G200
AWE 64 VALUE
IBM 10gig 7200 HDD
all over 3 yr old
Many thanks in advance for your time :)

Hope I've replied correctly (few beers :) ),AND MANY THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY, temp at start up (bios) 32-33 )not to sure as to how to check at full load, I have the latest bios from Chaintech, thanks. Strange thing thow I d/loaded this ---XStore Pro are busmaster drivers which can improve the performance of your harddisk by up to 60% (depending on memory and system configuration) and system performance to up to 10% compared to the standard drivers of Intel/Microsoft. ....... Iam now running at 415 mhz i.e. 83 x 5 and everything seems O.K. ---- weird!!!! But being the ******* I am' I'am still moaning as to why I can't get the 103, 112,& 133 speed options in BIOS
again MANY thanks
Trevor

There's a jumper on the 6BTM mobo for 66/100/auto. Did you set this one to 100?!

It seems really the right way to follow ;-)
To check your temps try MotherBoeardMonitor, is a must that you found at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/

I checked the manual of the 6BTM I still have lying around, and you need to set that jumper to 100 to enable the 100/103/112 etc. options in the BIOS setup. The jumper basically overrides the famous pin bf21 of the cpu, but please note that this never worked with my Slot1 Celeron400 which was a lousy OCer anyway. You might have a good shot at this with your 333 though so give it a shot and let us know, ok?!

Checked the jumper, removed to run at 100, as per manual, just a continuous beep from mobo, (not good for the old ticker ) so no bios. Tried 66 only and auto but still no options over 100, still running at 415 , 83 x 5 and all seems OK but those other options are so,so tempting
Other info on CPU, Costa Rica, SL2WN (STEPPING 0 ,OEM), 06360693
Perhaps its the old pin b21 as explained in Toms Hardware
P.S. MBM SENSOR reads 25-26 degrees there must be room for improvement
