I'm looking for an AMD-K6-2 400 or 450Mhz socket 7 processor to finally update my old computer, which right now is running an Asus P/I-P55T2P4 with a 166@225. This board does work with amd chips with the ctx core (or cxt, so hard to remember), which I think is every whip above 380Mhz. These chips can interpret the 2x multiplier as a 6x to get 6x66 or 6x75 (83 won't go past post on mine, but that's a different story). I live in toronto, ontario, I found one place, but the lowest they sold was 800 durons. I'm searching the internet, but I would prefer to find a store or something I can get the chip at.

p.s. - I need a pair of 32 meg 72pin ram modules for this computer too. These things are so freaking expensive (I think i found them for 70 bucks each here) if anyone has some sources, I would be greatful.

It will be nice to have another computer that will actually run current programs.

Have you tried looking around at www.pricewatch.com ? You should be able to find most of the stuff you want there.
