9.9ghz duron?!!?!?!?!?

http://www.sysopt.com/overc/amdcpustats.html look at the very first chip, says duron 500 @ 9.9ghz?!?!?! what the heck? is that a lie or are those the true masters of OC?

If you look at the duron 600 and 650 you will see that the average OC should be about 990mhz. Typo.

aight, I was thinking that, but it was there in writing so I had to make sure. Maybe they got lucky with one, but thank you for clearing that up before I went out and got me a duron 500 lol

I stopped looking at databases two years ago.

1. Many of them report obviously fake results, overclockers.com data base itself was notoriously fake.

2. Average overclocked speds are known for all CPUs, so the fact that one person has it running +/- 100 or more MHz from that average is due to ther cooling, power supply brand and of course mobo, noty just the CPU itself.

just like imog said he must have typed in 9900 rather than 990 so the program he was using swithched over to 9.9 ghz. Tru dat about the databases.

If you, for even the slightest second, thought a Duron was capable of 9.9Ghz then you should stay away from overclocking for a while!!! lol jk!
