Ok, I've got this PC 2400 DDR, and a Sis735 mobo. Should be all gravy right?

Well, uhm. Problem. I have a 200 FSB Tbird. Can't change the multiplier; so I'm pretty much dialed in at 100/133 (FSB/MEM)

Ok, "I can live with that" I say.

Run a few benchmarks, Sandra, MemTach, read the scores. Eww... It's performing like standard PC133.

I guess it didn't dawn on me that the FSB is just as important as the memory in getting the performance advantage out of the DDR. My 100/133 (436/584 = sandra) scores are just a bit better than KT133 100/133 (434/522 = sandra) scores.

So, now I guess I have to decide whether to pick up 1.33 (266) tbird or wait around for palomino to drop a little in price. :)

Oh well, just figured I'd put that out there.

Changed mem settings to 100/100. Saw an improvement. (490/590) Hmm.. I guess asynchronous mem timings really isn't an advantage when it comes to DDR.
