Everquest II beta

I just got an email from sony saying everquest II beta sign up will be avaliable on may the 3rd. Here's the minimum specs to run this baby.


Minimum:
Operating System: Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
Processor: 1 Ghz
RAM: 512 MB
16x CD-ROM or DVD-ROM
Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible. Pixel shader and Vertex shader compatible hardware with 64 MB of texture memory
Sound Card: DirectSound compatible
audio hardware


Dangit. I only have a little wimpy r9000! :(


Anyways, who's signing up for this? After looking at some screenies, I"m looking forward to playing it just for the eyecandy. :drool:

I'm signing up, I've beta tested all of sony's stuff for quite a bit, time for another I guess. And guess what, 512 is becoming the minimum finally, time to go to 1.5 or 2 GB I guess :rolleyes:

I'd rather play WoW if just for eye candy. I would play either, but WoW is more organic. Everquest II just seems to pump in polygons and think it makes everything better. I'll def sign up tho.

Everything in WoW looks like a 4 year old modeled it, EQ is THE MMORPG and by pumping polygons does the4 game not look more realistic? I don't think this is a bad thing...Just my preference though, like AMD and ATi

To be honest, my opinion is that WoW looks a little cartoonish. But that says nothing about the gameplay.

I just wish I would actually get lucky once in a while and actually get accepted in a beta! I'll play either one if they send me the magic email. :p
