My AMD 1.2Ghz is running a temp of 150/F, is that good or bad?
What is the best temp to stay under on this CPU?

Welcome to the Forum
Could you tell us what temprature that is in Degree C (metric is most widely used on this Forum) and if that temp was taken at idle or with load and what was used to take the temprature

Waay to high! Preferably it should be kept below 120F, at least.
You better check your HSF seating, fans etc. Another thing: OC´ed or not? Guess that temp is @ 100% load? You better reduce that temp, the sooner the better!

CPU temp in BIOS is 61/C
with MBM4 it is 119/C
Sitting idle at desktop
First off you cant trust those built-in therm's. My 1.2 in a retail setup idled at about 49-50c. After adding 2 case fans plus a Delta 38 on the sink it runs about 39 idle 45c at full load.

i have recently built 1.2tb with just a $13 heatsink with max temp of around 44c (111F) with nothing extra.

At 150 that chip won't last long if you don't lower that temp, start saving your pennies from your next processor.
