Max Payne crashes after quit in ME

I know, I know, Windows ME sucks, but it came with my sweet new laptop, so I have to deal. The thing is, every time I quit, it goes back to windows with a window with Max Payne as the title, then won't close it even via taskmanager. Has anyone else had this problem and if so do you know if the patch fixes it?

I believe the patch does fix some problems with the program crashing.

where do you get teh patch? is there a planetPayne or something like that?

Unfortuneately the patch hasn't helped anything...I've even tried minimizing then closing, or end tasking it, but no luck, I always end up manually restarting. Next time I'm goign to leave it for awhile to see if the close program dialogue box ever pops it's head up...
