i paid 20 dollars for a fan, and then it smacked the psu while i was placing it in the case...i just bought it today..........:( :( :( :( :( ....why cant sunon just make 120 mm fans that dont have breakable fan blades!!!!(maybe im asking for too much :)), in case you think im making a big deal out of this im 15, and 20 bucks is about 20% of the money i get the whole summer.....ahhhhhhhh

i've broken a 120mm fan too but with my hands :) i accidentaly put one of my fingers in there and bang! the blade landed at the other side of the room. actually it was broken once before and i didn't glue it good. but superglue does a great job if u use it correctly (correctly just means use the whole tube :) ). now it's ok again and running just like before.

Youre going to find out that the superglue and cement will offset the balance enough to make on hellacious vibration in your system.

its not too bad, its just that its a bit louder, before i glued the fan back on however it was horrendous.....i could hardly hold the fan in my hnds
This is why I use 120mm fans on 240VAC with aluminium rotors! :D They push an insane amount of CFM's too and are not to loud. They are expensive, but they are worth every penny ;)

im 16 and ive instaled fans while runing , ive got a few scars but eh ive never broken any thing
any one got experance OCing amd k6-2s
in particular 475 mhz
ive goten 550 out of it at 2.7 v a normal 550 runs at 2.3 v
any good heatsinks out their for socket 7 that would let me do around 600 +

EEEE! Don't get AC fans! They're terribly ineficient. My Sunon 120x38mm outputs 110+cfm for 22W but my Evercool 120x25mm outputs 80+cfm for just a mere 4.8W. Power not used for pushing air is converted into waste heat and that was the first thing I noticed about my AC fan -a warm output stream of air. Just feel the hub of an AC fan after an hour of running and it'll be close to 70'C. Besides, aluminium rotors will break your fingers instead of breaking themselves if you're not careful...
Try and glue back the fan blade, funnyperson1. The imbalance your fan might experience may be much less than running it with one blade missing. Sure, the lifetime of the bearing may be shortened by vibrations from the imbalance but even the most brandless of the fans I used served me well for at least 3 yrs.
sand off the extra with some 1000grit may help a little bit. DON'T SAND WITH IT ON :)

well what i could do is just hold up a peice of sandpaper and let the blades run over it :).....see...if i had aluminum blades, then i would be worrying about my broken power supply and not my 20 dollar fan....the blade is already glued on......i may sand the extra, but the vibrations arent too bad......the one thing im afraid of is the blade flying off into some random computer part.......
