My question is I'm needing some help overclocking my 1.33ghz Athlon with 266fsb. I've gotten it to 142mhz x 2 fsb cause it's DDR but I can't get it to go any higher. The temperature is at 50° C max. I have an Asus A7m266 mobo and 256mb Pc2100 Ram. If I try to OC it any higher windows gets an error on startup but everything works fine up until windows. Do I need to increase Vcore it is at 1.76 right now or is that the max that I can go without messing with the multipliers.

Set your multiplier lower so your cpu is closer to 1.3ghz then see if you can raise the fsb higher.
If you can then your cpu is the reason you cannot go higher.
If not then its your memory or some componet.
Once you figure out how high of a fsb you can go then start raising the multiplier but figure out what the result will be so as not to go too far at once.
When your cpu gives you trouble raising the cpu voltage is the next step but your already hitting 50c so its not a good idea until you can get your temps lower.

Thought your processor won't take damage until 95°C ?

Ahh but that is also the funny thing about the heat it doesn't really want to go past 50°C it just wants to go up around that high even when I overclocked it it just sat at that high
