Il assume that all of you have been to the cpu section or games section and have seen the specs on the xbox two.

Now imagine crunching on 3 HT through multi core powerpc 64bit processors edging somewhere between 3 and 5 ghz.

All for the pricetag of $300 guesstimate.

now I would imagine one xbox 2 hacked to run linux seti and maybe 64bit in 6 instances

this just seems like a mad crazy cruncher to me.

Honestly, it sounds to good to be true. I'll have to check into this as it sounds interesting (especially if true). :D

yeah I think the processor specs are confirmed as being somewhere around there on a couple of sites. I got the price because thats what it cost last go around, and I don't think that people will be willing to spend much more than that
