View Full Version : ATI 2D Performance
I use Radlinker OC my asus 9800xt to 450/400. It works fine on any 3D Games and 3D mark03. but when I watch .rm files, there are some red dots and blue dots on the screen.
So I was wondering are there any TOOL like Nvidia can OC the 2D performance and 3D performance both!

you cannot o/c 2d performance or 3d performance.
you can overclock your core speed and memory speed.
if you have red dots then your o/cing to high or video playback is not working due to decoder problems. lower your clock and mem and see if you still have problems.
I mean oc the code and mem speed ! coz in nvidia card . it said 2d performance and 3d performance!
When I lower the mem speed to 390 then every thing is fine.
now I wonder are there any tool can do like nvidia'card which able to oc the 2d and 3d separatly

OH i c lol....
mhhh yes if you use powerstrip you can program specifc settings. so when you start unreal you will overclock and when you close unreal you can clock back to normal speeds!
for ati there are free programs ahh radlinker should work just fine!!!
2D and 3D are both controled by the core and memory speeds, so you can't OC one and not the other normally.
However, you CAN have a program detect whenever Direct3D kicks in, and then apply a higher overclock. Once the launch of a 3D app is detected, it'll apply your higher clocks, and then once the program finishes, bring it back to your 2D over/underclock.
One program that can do this is ATITool (http://atitool.ocfaq.com/).

Thank you try both tools now!
Jigpu:
Do u mean the 2D Profile and the 3D Profile, set the 2D to default
and set the 3D to a higher overclock
