I know people have asked before about red UV additive, as Ive done a search.
but in everythread there was no conclusion, people said red wasnt a UV color, and they all turned out closer to pink if they glow at all.
so now I ask about this stuff, cause it seems hard to beleive no ones used it or heard of it.

i have that exact stuff and it shows up ok but it makes the tubes cloudy so you will only see it in a res very well. the other thing is its HIGHLY concentrated. 2 liters of water would need less than 4 drops
.
the other thing is you want a powerfull uv light to shine on it not a whimpy one

are there any tubes that wont be clouded by it? something better than tygon or more resistant to chemicals?
how long does it take to get cloudy, we talking minutes, weeks, or months? if it looked good for a year or so before it became noticably cloudy, not so bad...

hours . the more you use the cloudyer . if you dilute it first and then do a little filtering BEFORE you put it in your system that may help.
i have a slight pinkish water still after flsuing my system and refilling because i used about 9 drops in a 2 liter system which was way more than i needed. when i say concentrated it is. now my water looks like it redline in it

any photos of yours? I also enjoy a nice crystal clear looking tube.
optimally it would be crystal clear in the day and red at night, I know this stuff tints the water its not a clear red tint.
Im torn between clear/blue tint(only if it doesnt cloud the tubing), red tint, or red swiftech coils.
I should probably go with the clear blue UV tint and forget about the red, red sounds like its not gonna look the way I want.
any comments on the various clear/blue tints that are out there and whether its possible for them to not cloud the tubing atleast for a few months...

I use Orange Criticool UV dye, and it looks pretty nice, it doesn't cloud my tubing at all. Although it does turn the water a very noticeable reddish colour, only a few drops were needed to get a good glow.
Blue is a pretty popular water colour, and if you use blue anti-freeze with some Blue UV dye, you should get a pretty nice looking result.
