How long would a 1Gig processor last if run
continuosly at say 100F? Is electromigration
more of a concern than ever? I have a sperry
XT from who knows how long ago, and it still works fine.

Just an interesting question. (I think it was
lost in space, where they find that derelict ship. Now if that ship is say 1000 years old, would the
cpu's still work? (let's say it had a static
hard drive, no moving parts))

I'm just going to throw a # out, about 20 years a CPU may last, with overclocking and higher CV maybe 15 years but since all CPU's act a little differently you can give or take 5 years depending on how lucky you are.

As far as 1000 years if the CPU was running no, if it waas stored properly I dont see why it would not but i would hate to even guess that it would still run.

Under what situation are you running the CPU @ 100 F?

Space is cooler than the earth's atmosphere? and I would have thought that heat would be transfered to the hull of the space craft thus tempratures would not be a problem and because of this fact.. yes it would still work
Cooling the CPU the tradional way would not be an option in a space craft as it would use up the air supply for the crew and increase the internal tempratures of the space craft.
