Locked or unlocked???

Hi.

I got a AMD XP2600+ Barton CPU, and on the web pages to AMD.com, I found that the multipiler for this CPU is 11,5

But I'm running mine at 12x

So instead of running it at 1909Mhz, is running at 1992Mhz

Doesn't this meen that is't unlocked?

And could I probably run it at multipiler 13x ??

This would make it run at 2158Mhz

What's is your stepping code? AMD started to lock their Barton processors after a certain week last year. You probably have one that was made before they started locking them.

The only real way to find out is to go into the bios and change the multi to 13 and see what your cpu speed is afterwards.
