View Full Version : What should I get...
I have the choice of 2 different processors a Tbird 1000 AYHJA R or a Tbird 1333 AYHJA Y. The price is $20 different but I just want the one that will overclock the best. Will the 1333 reach a higher speed or not?

even if you only geta measly 10% out of your 1.33 {1.463} its asking a lot to get a one gig to go as high and remain stable. I think better a comfortable overclock than having to squeeze your rig to get less performance.

Ya... Seems like if you clock the 1 gig up to 1.33 you'll be doing pretty well.
for 20 bones more i'd go with the 1.33. Which will probably be unlocked and likely more stable in the long run.

id get the 1.33 cause even though the R stepping may overclock better the extra 330mhz will end up beating it in raw speed
I agree with the rest of em. Go for hte 1.333!

Well the 1.33 can hit as high as 1.75Ghz with proper cooling I would go with the 1.33 and try and get 1.33 AYHJA - Y or AXIA - Y
Hey ReTiCuLeX if 1.75Ghz with proper cooling is possible I should be able to hit 2 G:eek: Well maybe not but anything over 1.6 and I'll be very very happy. I am willing to run it up to about 2.1v and even try a pelt if I have to. I can get the 1.33 for $129 at TheOverclockerzStore and my buddie is getting my 1.2 with a cheep heatsink for $118 so I am getting very excited. Thanks for the quick response all.
