when i overclock my FSB more than 2mhz my Radeon 9200 freaks out and messes up. I found a new bios version from asus and was wondering if this might solve the problem and allow me to FSB a little higher?
bios 1009 ASUS A7V8X-X VIA KT400 chipset

BIOS updates usually fix a lot of problems. Just make sure your computer isn't overclocked when you flash.

One thing that will help...is adding a 40 or 60mm fan to the HS...those 9200's come with passive heatsinks...and adding a fan helps them OC a little better...

I glued a 60mm Tt fan off of a old Tt heatsink and it helped the 9200 I was testing out back then...

Also...take the stock heatsink off and make sure they used enough thermal paste...and even if so...removing that junk stuff and replacing it with AS3 or 5 will also help improve the heat transfer and possible the OC...

i think the 9200s are locked. I tried ocing one and i got a bsod. What would happen if i was oced when i flashed my bios?

OC'ing anything will increase the chance of data getting corrupted, and a corrupted BIOS can cause all kinds of problems.
