Okay which is the better setup for OCing the ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128:

Zalman ZM80C-HP - $30
ZM-OP1 (slim fan) - $10
Tt copper RAMsinks (8) - $8
Total: $48

Thermaltake Extreme Giant III - $40
- kit includes 2 fans, 8 RAMsinks, Speed Switch
Total: $40

I know there are other solutions but i will be choosing from the above 2 setups as i have immediate access to one or the other.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The Zalman is a far better cooler. However, if you can, definately try to get a VGA Silencer.

I'd go with the Zalman, but the VGA Silencer as Mr. Radar mentioned will outperform the Zalman

Is the VGA Silencer a better overclocker than the HSF's above?
Will i be able to add RAMsinks under the VGA Silencer as well?

http://svc.com/vgasilencer-rev2.html -- VGA Silencer
http://svc.com/zavgahecozm.html -- Zalman

Looks like the Silencer won't have any problems with RAMsinks to me, because it doesn't even cover the whole card. The VGA Silencer is a better overclocker because it is active cooling, not passive like the Zalman's heatpipe.

Yes, you can easily fit the ramsinks on the card with the silencer installed. I bought the svc deal with the ramsinks...worked like a champ!

Another vote for the VGA silencer here. The active cooling is very quiet (thus the name I suppose) and it works very well at a great price. I love mine, and see no reason why you wouldn't love one on your 9800pro. I use OCZ copper ramsinks with my VGA silencer.

Best of luck.
