My new USR Performance Pro modem is on the way, I'm upgrading my old v.90 modem, and I'd like to be able to use the incoming call notification feature of v.92.
From my experience a few weeks ago with the USR Winmodem i bought (big mistake), Windows will automatically detect the modem. However the installation program for the Incoming call notification program supplied with the modem didn't work, it said I didn 'thave the modem installed (which I did, I was even connected to the Net with it). When I installed the drivers they overwrote several other drivers.
I wasted my afternoon because of it. I'm not going to mess around with it again, so does anyone know of a good 3rd party ICN?
