OK, I have 3dmark 03 installed. Works fine.
I just installed 3dmark 01se and I can't get it to work. It says I need direct x 8.1. I have 9.0b. Does this mean I have to uninstall DX9 and install DX8.1???

That's odd. Try reinstalling your DX9.0b. If that doesn't work, then hopefully someone else knows how to help you. I never had this problem.

No, DX9 works perfectly fine with it (it actually lowers your score a tiny bit, but no biggie). I think you got an older version (could be wrong, but I know there's older versions of it still floating around). Try this patch for it:

I hope that helps.

Did that patch work? Let us know; I'm interested in this issue now.
You need the 340 Patch... *sighs*

The patch fixed it....
I scored 15,140 with the equipment in my sig.
9800pro comes in the mail tomorrow....anxious to see the diff...
Also, I don't actually have a 9700 pro, but its a 9500 pro softmodded.

You should see around 18.5 to high 19's with the 9800 Pro and that system...depending on the motherboard and timings you are using...
also...226x11.5 is 2.6Ghz...01 will like those settings better then 200x13..especially with tight timings...

I'm glad that patch worked though. :D

You can't hit 215-220 w/ hyperX even if you lower your timings? I find that hard to believe. You should be able to do it syncronously.
What mobo do you have?

Higher FSB (in layman's terms) increases your memory bandwidth, so yeah, its best to run it as high as possible. Its better to run a high FSB/lower multiplier combo than vice versa. 3dmark 2k1se is especially sensative to higher FSB's. 3dmark 2k3 is much less so.
So give it a shot!
