Hey folks!

I'm looking at getting this (http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/win-40.html) window kit for my antec case. I really could use a blowhole on the top of my computer, and I believe an 80-120mm fan would fit up there. Maybe even use LEDs on it, would look nice IMO.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried anything like this and the results. I know I'd probably have to use a jigsaw to cut out the hole, predrill the holes for the fan, etc. Do you think weight comes into play? How about vibration?

Questions/Comments?

Thanks for the help!

bahh dont use a jigsaw, it'll leave tons of scratches on the surrounding area... my suggestions is use a dremel... low rpm... if u use high rpm the plexiglass will just melt right back.. and be sure to use lots of masking tape...

Good idea!

Thanks for the quick reply. Good thing I have lots of tools at my disposal. Will use a dremal on a low setting (can't really go wrong with it).

Actually it won't leave scratches. As long as you leave the PROTECTIVE(Hence the word, protect. :p ) cover on it while cutting, you will be fine. A jigsaw blade design to cut steel(lots of teeth) is best to cut acrylic/polycarbonite. Just make sure to keep the jigsaw moving to prevent melting and clamp that piece down.

well its up to u, i think ull have an easier time with the dremel, less vibration and movement... i mean ull still need to put some weight on it so it doesnt move, but it'll be way easier to cut... remember to cut inside the circle u want to cut, and just do make like a N-gon (get what im saying, its gonna look kinda geometric like an octogon but iwth more sides when ur done cuz u should just be cutting inside with a disc)... and then just sand the n-gon and ull get a circle... yay, this is a ****ty version of how to use a dremel, double check ur dremel guide for a refresher...
