Pelt which side?

Ok can some one distinguish which is the hot side and which is the cold side? because i dont wanna blow it up. So for example which wire would be on the right side and which wire would be on the left.

EX. LEFT:ground(black) RIGHT:12 volt line(red)

The best way to prevent you putting it on the wrong side is to hookup the peltier up to the power supply without attaching it to the CPU. Quickly you will find out what side gets frosty and which side gets hot. You can then put a tiny marker mark on each side. Put a blue dot on the cold side and a red dot on the hot side.

Well ok i got it it is black on the right and the red on the left side

Just be careful not to leave it connected too long. Without cooling the hot side, your peltier will overheat very quickly.

Well thanks for the tip but it only lasts about 3 sec alone or it will break. just to let you know.

easier way conect to a battery 1.5v or 3v it wont fry it at all ... you can just feel the difference .......
