If anybody gets one of these new ATI X800 series cards can you compare the HS/fan mounting holes to a 9x00 card? I have a Maze 4 GPU block and wonder if it will fit the new gen cards...

cant you just look at a pic of an x800 and compare it to a 9800 ?:)

I can look, but determining exact dimensions by just looking at a pic could be less than accurate.

EDIT: FWIW...from just looking at the cards, it looks like it MAY fit, which makes me want the true measurements even more...
i see no reason why they would change it and therefore I would think that the measurements are the same. I also saw no mention of any differences in the mounting dimnetions in any article or review reinforcing the theory that they remain the same from the 9x00 series of cards.

Yeah I hope youre right. I havent even got to use the block yet, it would suck to have to sell it off. It would be interesting if the PCB itself was identical to the 9x00 series cards. Talk about saving on production costs huh...

no problem, this thing also runs alot cooler than the 9800xt as well, since it only uses 80watts :) easier to keep cool :)

that'll be oen crazy OC, i'd say 580Mhz on the core and... hmm 1.3/4Ghz on the mem. Mem is rated for 1.6ns on the xt and 2.0ns on the pro. so 1.6ns = rated for 625Mhz (effective 1250), we all know it does more than its rated for ;) and the 130nm process can do 600Mhz theoretically. So it'll be fun to see some of the OC's :)
