486 100mhz FSB 33mhz. I've gotten the FSB up to 40MHZ. 50MHZ it doesn't boot up, I hear the h/d going but nothing happens, there is no beep. Thanks.

hey man leave it at 40 then if its stable....but why are u bothering to overclock a 486 thats allmost completely pointless since Pentium class cpus are allready not able to run most of todays programs it was teh same story for 486 like in the PenitumII days .....the chip is usless...i gota 486sx 33mhz i run windows 3.1 and i find it slow but i only use to to track my hours for my job..becase i wana know when i worked and all for vacation pay they ussually mess it up and u gota tell them and for games i can run DuneII hehe tahts it i gota nice 5 1/4 floppy drive in that puppy and a 1.44mb hehe

You can buy a cheap overdrive chip and see how much more you can get out of it.
I think I got my 486 66Mhz up to 133 or so....
