Ok got me a 1 gig of pc3500 cl2 kingston hyperx Khx3500k2/1g. ON the sticker of the package it say Windbond. From the spec, the latency is 2-3-3-7-1 2.6 volt. So far I know it's CH5.

My main object tive is to overclock my 2500m the best I could. Right now at my local store, they have Muskin 256mb pc3200 stick of bh-5 black level 2 for $116 or 256mb pc3500 stick of bh-5 level 2 black for 99 bucks. So my question is, should I sell my kingston and buy two sticks of the bh-5, if so, which one should I go with. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean MB. Should I sell and get 512MB of bh-5 black level 2, instead of the 1 gig Kingston??

Uh... he was talking about 1 stick of 256MB. That's not really a deal.

Why don't you see how far your current RAM overclocks? Some CH-5 has been able to get the same timings as BH-5.

i think he is right if ur current ram will allow u to get up to the speed u want with decent timings, im not sure its worth all the hassle and expense for a 2-2-2-5 over maybe a 2,2.5-2-3-2-6.secondly michael schutte the director of technology for ocz (and a brilliant man) has found that with the newer hi speed chipsets the most important numbers are (CL-tRP-tRCD) and 2.5- 2-3- delivers almost the same performance as 2-2-2-5. GOD what a brainiac...

Sorry ...Im planning to get the Ultra INfinity or the Ultra B either one. Got a recommendation?? I know not much about OC, but somehow I just love this 2500m oc thing with the dfi so Im shooting for it. So can you guys just say should I get the bh-5 or keep the Kingston???:)

Definitely Go With The BH-5 Sticks.

For you, the gig you have now will be of more benefit towards a better system.

If you have the cash, buy the BH-5 and sell it on ebay, you'll be sure to make money as everyone else says.

With either dfi nf2 board I would go with bh5,or maybe even the new ocz enhanced bandwidth series. The reason I recommend the bh5 is you can probably hit 240-250 fsb with the dfi boards. The ch5 ram would almost certainly limit the fsb overclock capability of the dfi nf2 boards. Some people have overclocked very high with ch5, but it's a crapshoot.

The ocz eb series is new, and it can hit high speeds ~250 mhz fsb at around the same voltage than bh5. The ocz will run 2.5 -2-2-X versus 2-2-2-x for the bh5. The performance difference between a cas time of 2.5 and 2 is hardly anything at this speed though. The tRCD and tRP timings are more important.

Definitely bh5 over ch5 for your mobo though. With a little luck you could be running 250x10 with your 2500m.
