View Full Version : AMD and the sink prob
My XP1800 came with those lil pads on it to keep it from getting crooked seats from the sinks, but two of mine fell off (on the same damn side too.
Now i know if i put my maze4 on like that its going to hurt it, is there anything i can do besides wait another 3 days for a shim that ima have to order?

How about gluing the pads back on, or find some sort of rubber/felt standoff to replace it?
dont know where they are, i guess anything close to the thickness will work right? I doubt i could do it with none at all.
A HAH! Forgot all about my buddies dead 2500!!!! grabbed two of em off there, lil bit of AS5 and they're on!

Yeah, they're just there to help balance the load. Approximately close with a little give to it would work I think.
The Maze4 uses the 4 bolt method right?
*edit* A dead CPU works too.... :D
yea i just gotta figure out how these springs figure in...
Already the maze is mounted, the fan is on the core but no shorud cuz they sent me a dual fan shroud so i need to pickup some tupperware hehe.

I've glued & actually taken the original anti-crush pads off my CPU's. Glued them on for a waterblock position with zero problems. I have only used two anti-crush pads before & noticed no huge impact.
Well i had the comp end of it halfway done and i realized i forgot to put the hardcano's probe under the chip....fuh LOL
so im almost back to halfway now that i undid a bunch of crap. My attention to sleeving the psu and hiding wires is really paying off, its looking AWSOME guys. I'm going to bed for the night, long day tomorrow.
