I am doing an upgrade to a celeron 900 and want to OC the hell out of it. I bought a new 300w power supp. and a huge p4 heatsink/fan. I want to use a peltier but will the 300w and the heatsink be enough. The heatsink is 6.5x9x4cm and it has a 4500rpm 6cm fan

No, you will need another power supply for the pelt.

I suggest you just use the heatsink you have already. A pelt is a unneccasary risk. Water condensation everything you can think of can happen.

AIR works best (in my opinion)

If you're daring, you may squeak by using one power supply. It probably wouldn't last long, but you could. A seperate one would still be best. Depending on the rating if the TEC, another old AT or ATX power supply could do. You should also replace the fan if it can only push 6 cfm (typo I presume?) And as Carmine said, pelts are very risky. If you are willing to go through the troubles, go for it

Maybe I'll stick with air and just add copper plate to draw heat away from CPU. I heard that works great because copper conducts better than aluminum but aluminum transfers heat better to air. So maybe a copper/alumimun heatsink will work well for me. Also I use cardboard to cool my system. I use it to channal air to the CPU then the exast. Thats totally of topic but I will get pics if anyone is interested.

I'm running my setup over a year now with a 300W PSU and a 52W Peltier without any problems regarding to condensation what so ever!
I agree, it can be very dangerous!
You really have to use a gasket or something like that.
I you need some links, ask me.
