I have an Asus ATA226 (DDR), with a Athelon 1.4 chip. At factory settings I am getting 57c to 59c temps. I am going to OC, but have some cooling questions first.

1. Arctic silver goop: I hear alot about it, some say it's great others use it and notice no diff in temp, what's up with that?

2. Heat Sink / Fan: So many to choose from. where oes one start? I hear about the thermalright sk6 , as well as the Swiftech MCX370, any suggestions?

Ive read alot about deltas and how great they are...but the noise is a factor(you think whatever when you buy it but have to endure hours of whining whenever your pc is on) but personally i bought me a glaciator and never looked back. My temps are great. AS is like the god of all thermal paste and some say it saves a few degrees. belive it or not but when you buy a glaciator it comes with a small packet of AS.

AS is great if you have it. If you can't find any, don't worry too much about it, Radio Shack goop works almost as well for 1/5th the cost.

Both of those heatsinks reportedly rock the casbah. I prefer SK6 cuz it looks cool.
