NVmax tweak utility and DLL errors?

I just downloaded tyhe program and installed it becuase for some odd reason when I use version 12.90 drivers for my geforce I have no tweaking options in the display menu :confused: Hoping that this could give me some tweaking options I ran the program and every single time I press a buton to change a setting, I get a RUN DLL error??? The error message reads..

Error in nvqtwk.dll
Missing entry NvHWCtl

I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling the program but it didnt fix anything. Then I tried downloading another version of it, and it still does the same thing! I *THINK* it is saving the setings I choose but I cant really tell. Hope someone can help me out.

I dont think that is going to help me, sorry for stating my problem wrong. I will try again... Ok I right click on desktop and go to properties. Now I go to the Settings tab, and click Advanced. There arnt any Geforce tabs anywhere. NO tweaking options!! AHHHHH :eek: :o :eek: So I cant even get to the coolbits tab to overclock. I tried reinstalling the drivers many times, but it didnt change anything. It only hapens when I use version 12.90 drivers though, any other version and all the nvidia tweaking tabs are there and collbits works fine to. So basically I decided to try NVmax to see if it could tweak my card, and it does but somethings wrong, those dll errors are scaring me :mad:

i couldnt get nvmax to work in xp i got that same error, but the win2k coolbits hack got the coolbits tab back on my vid options

huh, I have the 12.90 drivers installed on my G2 gts just fine. I just did the coolbits hack and got the overclocking tab to work just fine.
I'm not sure why you can't access it...

Hoozie-thingummyjig's right - I got the Hercules Prophet II MX, and am using the 12.90 drivers and nVtweak with no problems....

Maybe its an ultra thing? But they use the same drivers? grr!! reformating didnt fix this bit :/
