I have an office with 3 computers networked with a Linksys Router.

One computer (#1) has files that computers #2 and #3 need to "see".

Computer #2 see's #1's files at all times, even after rebooting.

Computer #3 can see #1, but once I reboot, I can no longer see #1.

After the restart, Computer #3 can ping #1, but cannot access its files. If I map a network drive to #1 from #3, it will no longer be present after a restart.

During all of this time, both computers #1 and #2 can see #3's shares.

I have found that after a restart, If I bridge #3's LAN and 1394 connections, that everything will work again. If i restart after this it will no longer work.. UNLESS I UN-bridge the connections. Sounds like this bridge does nothing but "rebuild" some setting.

Does anyone know what could cause the computer network settings to revert after every restart?

here's what I think is going on,,,,,,,,a master browser competition issue. This can affect the ability to 'see' a computer/s and file shares when using the network neighborhood , but shouldn't affect the ability to 'map' a drive, even if you can't 'see' said computer in the network neighborhood. I would suggest 'mapping' a drive from pc 2 and 3 (connect , reconnect whatever the term is, check the box to reconnect) to pc #1 - my situation is I can't browse (see other computers, via network neighborhood) but I can still connect via a persistant 'mapped' drive.

Even the mapped drive resets... kinda.

If I map Drive X: to \\(computer1)\Shareddocs it will be present under "mycomputer" untill I restart. Then its gone.

When I go back to remap the drive, its still there, but I have to type it in again to get it to appear under "mycomputer" again.

When you open 'My Computer' do you see a 'disconnected drive' status for the mapped drive to pc#1 (from computer 2/3?) If so just click on the icon for that connection, - what happens? I have that situation right now, and when I click on the icon for that mapped drive, it brings it up.

No, after a restart it is completely gone.

I also have a shortcut on the desktop that links to a database in one of computer #1's shared folders, but that link doesn't work either. The only thing computer #3 can do at that point is ping the other two computers, and BE accessed by the other two computers.
