I have a P3B-F. I am going to get a new proc for it. Should I slocket and go that route or just stick with a higher PIII?

What are advantages either way it any? And yes I will oc:p

If slocket is way to go where can I get one?

Thanks for all the help!

Some people prefer slot cards for better cooling mods, I personally don't overclock so high and generate enough heat that I need to worry. I'd say do what's best for your wallet.

The only thing I dislike about my slotket is the orientation. HSF can block RAM slots, some HSFs are just too big to fit, and no matter what the 'sink will overhang the northbridge.

BUT, it has voltage fine tuning on it, and like Pinky said you can build sandwich-style coolers on them.

Slot P3s are discontinued; you might be able to get one cheap. But socket style coolers don't work on them, god knows if anybody makes a slot cooler for the modern OC'er.

Decisions, decisions!
