View Full Version : 250 Watts Power Supply???

I've an Duron 750 and im about to overclock it... But im about to install an GlobalWin FOP38. I've got an 250 Watts Power Supply... Is this bad ??? (i see all people using 300 Watts Power supplies...).

This is not BAD. It all depends on what other hard ware you have. Of course a 300 watter would be better but you shoud do OK with what you have for now. AMDs are power hungry so you should upgrade when you have the means.

Some motherboards draw more power also, so that may need to be taken into consideration.

AMD.com say that a 250W power supply is enough.. But here is the configuration!
1 5400rpm Hardisk
1 modem and 1 Lan card
128MB ram
16MB Gfx card
Floppy
1 CDROM!

You should be good to go. If you start adding extra fans, drives, or a burner, it might be time to upgrade.
