I got this error today on my server. I cant boot from the CD to get to the recovery console because I cant access my bios to change the boot order to boot from the CD first. (The PS2 slots dont work and It doesnt like my wireless keyboard). I dont have another wired USB keyboard either. All my other machines are running XP. Can I pull the WIN2k drive and put it in an XP machine and copy an XP's NTOSKRNL.exe to the WIn2k machine. Are the XP and 2K files the same????? if not can one of you give me a good copy of the win2k NTOSKRNL.exe????

No, that's the kernel, it's definitely not the same between the versions. I've had that error in the past before, and it turned out to be hardware and not actually related to that file.

yes that is kernel but its kinda rare to get an error from it so id suggest checking all hardware connections and hardware its self....like disconnect things and see if u get errors
