My 9800 pro does 422 core and 373 mem on stock cooling. I am just curious to know if this is an acceptable oc. Any comments will be appreciated!

For stock cooling that's definately a decent OC. My Sapphire wouldn't even do XT speeds (412/365) with stock cooling.

yea thats definitely a good OC.. I have a sapphire 9800 with an r360 core that does just about that with a VGA silencer.. hopefully when my WC setup with ramsinks comes, it'll be able to do some more. Just curious.. do you know what kind of core your card has?

To check which core you have (and improve the card's cooling at the same time):
1) Remove the cooler
2) Wipe off all the paste on the GPU and cooler using 70% or better isopropyl alcohol & q-tips
3) It should say what kind of core it is on the core itself (right below the ATI logo)
4) Apply AS5/ASC (If you don't have some already, SVC.com has a small tube of AS5 for $6 w/ free shipping (well, the last time I checked))
5) Reinstall stock cooler
You should be able to get ~2 MHz more out of the core after the AS5/ASC settles.
