Amd 64

Hi,
I have made up my mind to go with AMD 64 based system just for the heck of having a 64 bit CPU. I was just wondering if I should buy a 3200+ plus today or wait for couple of months to get socket 939?

I wouldn't buy the 3200.(Period) The 3000+ is a much better deal, and personally, I'd hold off for 939, just for the sake of more mature chipsets etc.

Nforce3 250 is out, so I think it isnt a bad time to buy. I personly would get a 2800+ or 3000+ and spend more on a good video card. Wait a week or 2 and the Geforce 6800 and x800 will be out, and build the system around the card.

How much are those vidcards suposed to run, and how long untill socket 939?

Only 400 dollars for x800 pro, 500 for x800 platinum
Not sure about 6800, i think its 500 for 6800 ultra...

I work two jobs. I still wouldn't say that _______ video card is *only* $500.

That's more than a decent complete system. $400 isn't too bad, if you don't plan on upgrading. But in a month they'll be $300.
