Hi all. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a web page about how to overclock a celeron 333 to 500 by using a 100 mhz bus speed on an intel MB. This chip has long been O/C at 500 on a slot 1 board using a slocket but I am not using the chip at the moment and would like to stick it on a socket 370 intel board. Tom's Hardware lists covering b21 but that only appears for the slot 1 Celeron 1 and I don't know what pin it would be on a socket 370 Celeron 1 .

Thanks
Dylan

You should be able to adjust the bus speed of a good Socket370 board without having to wire anything on the processor.

There are some good Celeron overclocking articles on the main page you could refer to.

I know, I have several O/C machines now. I was refering to a MB that I already have and do not want to buy another just to flip to 100mhz. My question was, does b21 of the slot 1 cerlerys translate to any pin of the socket 370?

Thanks

Read your motherboard guide/user manual. You might be able to find some fsb and multiplier adjustments on the board via jumpers or dip switches.

If you already know that there is no voltage adjustment on this board, then you will have to research the motherboard through google and see if someone has mapped this for you.. otherwise, like the prior posts have already explained, the motherboard should have settings to change your voltage and bus speed.

That would be sweet if you could do it!

I running a Celeron (slot1) 266 @ 430 right now @ 2.3v. It full loads @ 58C, if i could get that down, im sure i could hitt 500. That would be awesome.

Normally i run it @ 361 1.9v (defulat voltage is 2v) but sometimes i run it @ 400 2.2v.
GOOD LUCK
