sorry guys I am a newbie here.... I just got AMD 1.4, Asus A7M266, 256 MEG DDR pc2400 RAM.

My goal is to overclock the bus speed to 150mhz with a CAS latency of 2.

Can anyone recommend a heatsink and fan that will help me accomplish this and also how the heck do i check the cpu temperature and mb temperature while in windows? How do you guys do those temp checks.

Also where can I download this SiSoft SANDRA program? Is it free?

for sandra.

motherboard monitor will also monitor your temps from with in windoz

Swiftech 462a is excellent. but a little costly.

there are many good heat sinks out there. but the 462 is my fav.

www.tweakfiles.com has motherboard moitor or motherboard probe for monitoring temps, voltages from windows.
Running 150 @ cas 2 depends alot on the memory.
Good heatsinks are the thermalright sk6 and swiftech mc 462 as well as alot of others.

This is the memory I have:
Mushkin 256MB PC2400 High Performance DDR SDRAM
Is that good enough to run at 150 mhz FSB?
