AMD 1.4 mhz
Asus A7M266
256 MEG CAS2 2400 DDR RAM
Glaciator All copper Heatsink/Fan
SBLIVE Value
URS Modem
Run of the mill generic Geforce 2 32MEG
If I overclock the FSB to 150mhz will this destroy my other computer components? I have two internal case fans.
Dont think they will fry.
They will cause lockup's bsod's no boots.
You start stock 133mhz and then raise it 5mhz at a time and run your system at that for a little while then if its stable bump it up another 5mhz until you reach your goal.
Just dont forget to lower the cpu multiplier if the cpu''s mhz starts getting high.

As far as I knew you CANNOT change the multiplier on an Asus AM7266 Correct?
The manual for the A7M266 looks like you can on page 60.
I dont own one so other than what the manual shows no Idea.

I thought the situation with the A7M266 was that Asus signed an agreement with AMD never to allow multiplier changes on that board, ever - not even on any future revisions. Think the manual must be wrong...
I did some further checking and no you cannot set the multiplier manually. The picture in the manual just shows the bios displaying the multiplier setting but is not adjustable.
Guess its not a great overclocking board.
