Good day everyone! I wanted to know what people thought was the best approach for the overall performance of a computer based on the below comp specs. All opinions, ideas, and suggestions are welcome~!~!

Gaming Comp:
AMD 2500+Mobile on a Asus A7N8X E Deluxe, 2x256 Kingston HyperX PC3200, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128, 5x Fujitsu 32 Gb U320 15k on a Adaptec 2120S RAID5, 2xNetgear GA620 1000sx nic.

I am currently running at 12.5x200 @ 1.65Volts and stock GPU/RAM Voltage. Air cooled by SilentBoost with 4xPanaflo 120mm Low RPM

Thanks again- 2iC

best thing...

Find your CPU's max Mhz...then find out what your max FSB the memory can handle...then combine them both...and get them both as close to possible to eachs sweet spot...

Example:

CPU max = 2.5Ghz
Memory max = 250

With that set up you would do 10x250 since 2.5 is the sweet spot for the CPU and 250 is the sweet spot for that memory...

Yea that’s what i'm going to do same job. I got a NF7 though I hope it goes far. Ok first u want to lower the muiltipler then up the FSB as high as u can then, lower the FSB and then raise the multiplier as much as u can raise the voltage when needed. When u got them both at the highest see which is higher setting then picks that higher one.

Look at this forum for some good detail I got no answers though. Just posted it to day.

Excellant info guys. I will be finding max FSB over the next week or so to give the system some time to burnin at the new settings.

So far over the last month my highest speed was 13.5 x 200 @ 1.85V @ 62*C and left it at this setting for a week Folding, however, until WC arrives I bumped it down to 12.5 x 200.

Any one have any experience with my mb,ram, proc?? I wouldnt mind some feedback on peoples max FSB just for a referance while slowly bumping up the OC.

Thanks again for all the info- 2iC

i 2ic i fix up my post i got new info i learned all this in one day :)

i was learning before just thanks to the guiles up there i learned alot!

Well, cooling for the CPU consists of 4 x 120 mm Panaflo U1A fans with a custom ducting/shroud over a Thermaltake Silent Boost. My room ambient temp is chilly @18*C. Basically, until the Swiftech CW5002-A Water block gets in I really dont want to abuse the cpu anymore.

The air cooling I have right now is prolly equivelant to one of those massive floor fans blowing directly into an open case... it is not very 'silent' and hence I am anticipating the arrival of the WC parts.

imposter- thanks for the link Ill check it out right away.
