Would running 3 sticks of 256mb lower my max oc?

I'm currently using 2x256mb corsair xms 3200c2, and was thinking of adding a 3rd. would this lopsided setup lower my 220fsb oc? and could i still run in dual channel mode? its an abit nf7-sv2.

I'm not familiar with your board, but typically adding extra DIMMs has a good chance of reducing your OC. Only way to know would be to test it.

I know going from 2 stick to 4 sticks definitely reduces your max OC... Not sure about 2->3.

If you were to go with another 256 stick, you would lose dual channel capability. You would need to add a 512MB stick to ensure dual channel will still run on the nforce 2 chipset. So, under the circumstances you said, it would probably make it both slower and lower oc.
