I succesfuly oc-d a pentium MMX (or pentium I)
from 166 MHz to 187 MHz.

I found out that I can change the multiplier and the FSB but I cant go above 187 MHz.

The multiplier can only be changed to 2.5 and not any further!!!
I tried these settings:
120 MHz (60x2) 133 MHz (66x2) 150 MHz (75x2; 60x2.5)
166 MHz (66x2.5) and finally 187 MHz (75x2.5)

I wondered: If I change the voltage, should it go faster or should I leave it as it is???

Send me ur opinions!!! ;)

It depends on a lot of things. But generally, higher voltage should get you more speed. I've heard of people getting a 166MMX up to 300MHz. I've never seen it in person though. Personally, I can get my 200MMX no further than 266MHz. Also, try using CPUFSB, if it will work with your timing chip. I was able to manually wire my old compaq to do 250(3X83.3) and found the performance to be better than 266(4X66). Check the timing chip's manufacturer's website for a data sheet and you may be able to do the same thing. I'd only resort to that if you can't get CPUFSB to work with your MB. You might also try checking for undocumented jumper settings, some MB have higher multipliers, they just don't list them in the documentation.

My 166 mmx was a pretty star one, that had all the multipliers enabled (for 166, 200, and 233) and did all 3 speeds at default voltage (2.8v). Also did 262.5 mhz (75x3.5) but required 3.2v-3.3v. On my first attempt, I tried it at 2.8v (not like there's much "choice" in the matter, you have to test setting at time), and the chip somehow trashed the FAT totally from being so unstable------at the MS DOS config.sys' BOOT menu! From then on, I only tested stability by booting from a floppy disk.

(funny though, no newer CPU's since then ever trashed the FAT instantly (when even touching config.sys), by being unstable like that (they usually lock up while loading windows, protection errors, or lock up after verifying dmi....(Ram is another matter)-- registry errors are a different story, though......)

now you should upgrade that 14.4 modem to a 28.8!!!!

Changing the Vcore doesnt help!!!

I changed it to 2.9 V and 3.2 V, it doesnt help a thing!!!

Ohh well; never mind. I said the whole system is a pieceofsh*t so I'll just underclock my former overclock :D and leave as it is.
(I dont want the owner to argue with me about:
me oc-ing her rig.)

You're on dangerous ground buddy! OCing the girlfriend's rig can get you in a heap of trouble. She'll see it as either; you're too cheap to go out and get her the machine she SO justly deserves, or you're stepping on her toes by trying to OC her rig for her when she's perfectly capable of doing it her self. I had a girl get furious with me once for offering to work on her car for her. She said she could change a flat and do her own oil changes, and she didn't need me acting like some male chauvinist pig, offering to help her. I tried to tell her there is a big difference between changing oil and doing the brakes. She just grabbed her cute little toolbox (about the size of a bread box, hehe), and headed out the door. She thought that a woman one and a half semesters away from a BA in psychology could do anything a man, who was only a US Navy nuclear power plant operator, could do. After doing w/o her car for two weeks, she had it towed to the local Sears to be repaired. Her room mate told me it cost $500. Of course, it was all my fault, for openning my big fat mouth!

Fortunately the owner is not my girlfriend!!! ;)
She's my (How shall I say? I dont know the exact word for this!)

I live @ her flat and pay her!!!
But tooooo much, 'coz she's a friend of my mother.

(U know I study in a different city that I live in.)

The phrase is "landlady", for males it is "landlord". I would expect to pay her less if she was a friend of the family. Unless, of course, you have plenty of money. Then I could see paying a friend more than the market rate.
