Royaly Screwed, Please help

Please help, I can't find my win 98 SE cd, I think I may have misplaced it in the trash( if that doesn't sound extremely idiotic I don't know what does). I have My product key and stuff I just need to knoiw if there is a way I can make myself a new CD. Please help with any suggestions.

If you registered it with MS, you might be able to get the CD Key back, but if the whole CD is missing, all I can think of is to borrow it from a friend.... but that would be sorta illegal (?), on the other hand, you did buy the CD before, so why can't you use your friend's...

Ok, you say you have the CD key. Go and borrow a friend's CD (you can even copy it if you want) and do your install. You are allowed one backup of a CD, in case you lose one -- plus, how do you think large-scale computer manufacturers install Win98 onto thousands of machines? They clone one hard drive to many.

As long as you have your own product key, you can load anybodys win98SE. It's illegal to copy it, but if a friend just happened to have a backup copy go missing.......
