CPUIdle AXP-M Workaround?

Do any desktop mobos recognize mobile athlon xps? I have a 2600m and it's a b!tch and a half to make CPU use chipset optimized. There wasn't any solutions I can find. I don't like windows xp showing up the wrong cpu usage. Anybody got ideas?
