I've got a GeForceFX 5900, and for the price, the X800 looks soooo tempting. But I wonder: Would it be better to just wait until this new PCI-Express thing comes out? I visited ATi's site and they say something about their optimizations for memory bottlenecks. If PCI-Express is what I understand it to be, then why not wait until that comes out? I can understand wanting the fastest card possible RIGHT NOW though. I know how that feels ;)

You should surely be fine with the 5900 for any modern game. I'd wait it out for PCI-Express until doing your next upgrade if I were you.

You could put that money in the bank for 6 months. Heck, $400 at a lousy interest rate of 2.5% (.2083% per month) would earn you an extra $5, so you could have a better card and an extra cheeseburger to show for your patience. :) -- Paul
