View Full Version : 4:5 ration
im running P4 2.8c@ 3.2(229 FSB) and the ram im using is Corsair PC4400 550MhZ XMS . my question is that i am running it on 4:5 ration then my ram speed would be at 286.4Mhz (stable)
would this be make my computer slower then its at 1:1 ration ?

can u actually run a 4/5 ratio?. my ic7 wont allow it.(what mb do u have?) and yes running the fsb at 229 and the memory at 286 4/5 will give better performance than running 229 1-1
asus p4p800-se , it also have 2:3

I believe those ratios will make your RAM slower as compared to the CPU, not faster.
