system cleaning

I have had my w/c system for about 9 months now, and I decided to take my comp apart because of the large amount of dust I accumulated in my dorm room. I emptied my system of water, and I am curious if anyone thinks I need to clean the pump, waterblock etc. i heard that some think you should use an air compressor, or get water in there somehow, but I am not sure. Let me know.

If you feel the need to clean it the metal parts, running some CLR through it should work. Don't think you'd want it inside the pump though.

If you ran some sort of additive you may not need to worry about it at all.
