Been reading this forum for a while, this is my first post...

I have been dreaming of this computer cooling system for a while now (ever since I heard about overclocking). This system is built inside of a small fridge (one of those apartment sized units). I m planning on using water cooling (with coolant to handle sub-zero temps) to link the freezer coils to the cpu. I have already worked out the details of avoiding condensation on the cpu. My main question is...

I know that these cpu's put out ~100 or more watts of energy ( I am planning on using a peltier aswell). Will the small freexer coil in an apartment sized fridge be able to cool the water coming from such a heat source? Will I need a larger dedicated freezer? I have no idea how to figure out from the specs of a fridge how much wattage they can handle on a constant basis (I have seen fridges say they can handle use 14-16 amps of current under surge...how does this relate to the basal >100 watts of power?)

If this works I will write a faq of how I did it using all homemade parts ...or details of the meltdown and freezer burn

It's been done with a dorm sized fridge. From accounts it worked wonderfully. If you search back through the older posts, you'll find one (by me) on the subject. I'll try to dig up the link, and then put it here.

Hey Chumpy..check this months issue of MaximumPC (http://www.maximumpc.com/) . There's an article on modding and one guy using a fridge...although a larger one than you mentioned.
