View Full Version : small and reliable water pumps
I need to know what is the smallest and the most reliable pump that can handle a DD RBX, DD Maze 4 chipset block, a swiftech mw50 gpu block, 2 black ice micros, and a bay res. I have a mid tower case and I want the pump to be in it. The clearance that I have in the case where I want to put the pump is 7"L x 3"W x 5"H.

I love that dual rad and compact watercooling setup. Very nice indeed.
Another vote for MCP600 here.

the mag 3 is actually a bit on the larger side. The via 1300 is small, and very cheap, but you get what you pay for. Overall, the best small pump is the MCP600.

That is alot of restriction in series. The mag3 would work. It's a bit larger than the MCP600 which was actually designed for the restrictive block setup you have planned (i.e. watercooled server computers). If you can spend the extra $30, I think you'd be happier overall with the MCP600.

I've had my via aqua 1300 for abouta year now, and it was used when I bought it.
Aslong as you don't abuse it, it'll be fine.

Maxijets are very reliable pumps, and the size vs. performance is one of the best as well. I personally use one. Its been running for about two years inline. Very nice tiny pump.

I've had both a maxijet 1k and a mag3. The maxijet is a LOT smaller, whcih is why I eventually chose that over the mag3. MY maxijet was also quieter than the mag3. I know most people say the mag3 is dead silent but mine wasn't. Not sure if that was normal or other people just exaggerating :)
